Garrison Forest School is seeking an experienced individual for a full-time position with the school as a Maintenance Technician. This position will work Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This position is considered essential personnel and would have to have flexibility to work overtime when needed on short notice. This position will start May 2026 and reports to the Director of Facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $42,000-$48,000 based on years of experience and education level; the exact compensation will be discussed during the hiring process.
Other requirements for this position include:
• Handling drywall repairs, painting and ceiling tile replacement. • Deliver, set up and break down furniture for special events. • Willingness to learn new trades and retain information. • Have a positive attitude and work well with others. • Diligently check campus for safety and repairs • Other duties as assigned
Individuals must be able to work within a highly organized and fast paced department, maintain good relations between all members of the department and the school community, meet and maintain a high standard and respond to direction from a supervisor in a manner that is consistent with professional standards.
Qualifications
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check • Experience operating snow plowing equipment such as a plow truck, snow blowers, shovel. • Ability to professionally represent the school regardless of the task. • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. • Ability to handle basic maintenance repairs with minimal supervision. • Valid driver’s license and transportation • Able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs. • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb and perform physical labor for extended periods of time • Ability to read and understand documents and instructions. • Must have the ability to communicate and work well with others.
