Under the direction of the Building Trades Supervisor, the General Maintenance Technician (GMT) is responsible for completing assigned work orders relating to the Universityâ™s 7-day, 24 hour service program for the safe operation, maintenance, and general upkeep of Brandeis facilities, buildings and equipment. Responds to routine general services requests as well as any/all emergency requests to ensure a safe and functional campus. Performs basic tasks associated with all major building trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and locksmithing). Covers shifts or portions of shifts for other employees working in the 24-hour service program. May be assigned to one or more trade shops.Shift: 11:00pm- 7:00am Tues- Sat. (Sun/Mon Off)
