Defines, executes, and governs the enterprise-wide strategy, operating model, and performance outcomes for all IT asset lifecycle capabilities. Provides executive leadership for hardware and software asset management, ensuring alignment with enterprise technology strategy, financial objectives, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Owns the vision, roadmap, and governance framework for ITAM and serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership across IT, Finance, Procurement, Information Security, and business units. Accountable for optimizing technology investments, ensuring software compliance, mitigating risk, and delivering measurable business value through effective asset governance, automation, and data-driven decision-making. Establishes enterprise policies and standards, ensures scalable and auditable processes, and leads the continuous advancement of ITAM maturity across the organization.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Defines and directs the execution of the enterprise IT Asset Management strategy, including a multi-year roadmap aligned to organizational priorities, technology strategy, and financial objectives.
Establishs and enforces enterprise ITAM governance, policies, standards, and operating models across all business units and IT functions, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance
Owns the financial performance of IT assets, including budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and realization of savings through lifecycle management, license optimization, and vendor negotiations.Â
Accountable for software compliance and audit defense strategy, including management of publisher audits, risk mitigation, and contractual alignment with vendors.Â
Directs and oversees the end-to-end lifecycle management of hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate, complete, and auditable asset data across procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.Â
Defines and advance the ITAM operating model, including tooling strategy (e.g., ServiceNow and integrated platforms), automation, and integration with CMDB and IT Service Management processes.Â
Serves as the enterprise authority for IT asset data, establishing system-of-record standards, ensures data integrity, and enabling data-driven insights for financial, operational, and risk-based decision-making.Â
Partner with senior leaders across IT, Finance, Procurement, Information Security, and business units to align asset management practices with enterprise priorities and drive cross-functional outcomes.Â
Deliver executive-level reporting and insights, translating ITAM data into actionable intelligence related to cost, risk exposure, compliance posture, and operational performance.Â
Provides organizational leadership for the ITAM function, including team development, workforce planning, performance management, and capability maturity advancement for a team of IT Asset Managers and Analysts.Â
Drives continuous improvement and innovation, advancing ITAM maturity through automation, process optimization, and adoption of industry best practices aligned with ITILÂ
Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$110,300.00 - $194,200.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
